Briefing: I am 178cm (5′ 10) I can pretty comfortably flat-foot 790S. I can't flat-foot 790R - but I can reach the ground with my both toes. My 2 humble questions for you: The S is 30mm lower than the 880mm tall R. Hence the 30mm reduction in ground clearance. But the 2 part standard S seat is also 20mm lower than the one piece R seat. So if you buy it stock its 830mm. Some refer to the S seat as the low seat. So maybe the mix up lies there. Anyway. I cant really comment on the PP low seat. It feels ok in hand. The 790R has a seat height of 880mm and uses a one-piece design with only a small bump stop to allow maximum movement for the rider.
